Daily Kill Stats

You can now visit the Hall of Records found in Melania or on the Battle Start page. This area tracks the win/loss record for gender, race, and alignment. The stats are real-time and update as you battle. At some point something similar will be developed on a clan basis. This area will be used in certain special edition Blood Bath events. More on the below.

Special Edition Blood Bath Events

This month marks the first special edition and will be a Male vs Female event. The stats are already tracked, but there will be an in-game reward for the gender that has the best overall record during the period of this blood bath. More like this will be seen in the future.

Stat System

We have finished the new Stat system behind the scenes and it's working very well. We've managed to wipe most bugs and feel free to report anything else you come across.

Advertising

We really charged up our ad campaigns this month and we can see more players joining the game on a daily basis. We're averaging well over 100 new players per day, so make sure and welcome these new additions to the game and help them get started. Players who are contacted and shown the ropes have a much higher chance of sticking around!

Collectible Icons

We've had online icons that you receive when buying special packages for the game store for awhile now. We've now rolled a new system for these icons that will start tracking these icons and how many you have. It will keep track if you receive more than 1 of the same icon. These icons show up in the Chat, Online List, Online Clan List, and Forums. We also added new Collectible Icon areas to the My Character and View Profile page. You can show off your collection to other players. More will be added and we may expand these outside the game store at some point.

Foster Care Package

During the month of may we are offering a Foster Care Package with some nice bonuses included the first collectible icon mentioned above. Even better, 20% of all funds raised through this package will be donated to Ambassadors for Children, a local charity supporting foster children.

Misc Fixes and Additions

• Fixed The Medal of Valor and Hunter's Mark Rewards due to new stat system.
• VIP Ultimate players now receive 1 less Inn Penalty Day
• Fixed Description in Inn to better describe process
• Removed Log for commenting on your own blog post.
• Fixed the clan links in the chosen area.
• Removed the Inactivity Deletion Day from My Character and View Profile Pages
• Changed the deletion script to only delete players with little to no login activity. This will protect those accounts for those that decide to come back. We will monitor and watch for issues as the player database grows.

Stats

We've been working behind the scenes on a new statistic tracking system to better allow us to better manage stats including adding many more. The change is a complete over-haul and please bare with us while we squash any bugs related to this change.

Chosen

Along with the stats we thought it was time to re-code the Chosen area with a more visual pleasing design. We also changed to a flowing menu, so you don't have to leave the page. Note that FREE members can view 150 players or clans, VIP can view 300 and VIP Ultimate can view 750 per category.

Game Store

It's been a long time coming, but we decided to release a new version of the game store. This new version required a complete re-design of the store making it easier to navigate and buy coins. We also took the opportunity to add several new packages, addons and boosts to the store. We were extremly happy with the end result and hope you are as well. If you are wanting to see a breakdown of Free vs VIP vs VIP Ultimate, then you'll find that on the VIP tab of the Game Store.

Seeing Green, New Spy System, and More

Seeing Green

The month of March brings to Crimson Moon the luck of the Irish! The release of the Lucky Pack in the Game Store kicks things off. During the month of March purchase this Super Charged Booster for tons of energy, AP and a special reward prizes. Also know that 15% of all proceeds made by this package will benefit Ambassadors for Children helping children in foster care.

Outer Area

Now as you travel the Outer Area you can poke a player as you pass by to let them know you where there. This is an early release of a feature that will be expanded upon. You can manage who can do this in the communication ban area.

New Spy System

This week we've been playing with some new formulas to determine who you can spy on. The new formula changes the spy system from a chance to have a successful spy attempt versus the old yes/no you can spy system based off level and spy level.

The new system completely goes off spy level and decreases the chance of successful spying as the person you spy on has a higher spy level. The higher the spy level difference in your favor, the better chance you'll succeed.

Skill Level Info

Along with the spy update the skill levels were moved off their own page to the My Character screen  as it made more sense.

Private Listing Notification

Buyers are now notified via the log system if you post a private listing for them in the marketplace.

Vote Site Layout Changed

The voting area was reformatted to have a solid menu that follow you to all pertinent areas. The old layout was kind of confusing as to where Minsky's was etc. You can now buy mine OPS at Minsky's as well!

New Role-playing Forum for VIP members only

It's not secret that a vast majority of players love to RP on Crimson Moon. Some even focus on this more than the gaming aspect. We've decided to add more RP features into the game and most will be available to those who are VIP members. The first addition is a private RP forum with many topic categories. The RP thread will still be available in the main forum to all players, but the new forum will expand on it.

VIP Panel Menu

The VIP area in the game has needed a face lift for awhile. I've been trying to add menus to certain pages that span across every area to eliminate the need for going back or added clicking.

Blast System

For awhile we've used Twitter as a means to post quick update in between major updates found on this blog. Recently as I've done more works on tablets etc I've noticed the twitter API doesn't function and have decided to create a system in-house. The nice thing is these will now show at the top of the content area, so not to be missed. You can dismiss them and they will hide until a new blast is posted. You can however see the past 10 blasts on the Welcome Page and Log pages.

More St Patrick's fun is incoming and many more updates including looking at a way to incorporate alignment into the battle system.

New Game Layout and Valentines Day

New Game Layout

This weekend we began making modifications the the CM layout. The new game design stretches the game to a 1024x768 resolution that better matches most modern designs today. There were quite a few that had grown fond of the old 800x600 layout, so that layout is still available via the Account Options area. The increased size from the new layout allowed us to bring back having 2 action bars on each side that can be switched any time. We also made many graphics updates and moved the advertisements into the layout rather than having them outside the viewing area.

Now all advertisements are hidden for VIP players, so becoming one is an even greater benefit!

Valentines Special and Package

The 2013 Valentines Coin special is now live and offer you an extra coin for every 10 bought. Also, any purchases over 50 coins gives you the chance to possibly double your purchase when you receive between 1 and (how many coins bought) randomly at purchase.


We've also added the Valentines Package to the Game Store which has many benefits including a nice heart image shown throughout February in online and chat. New this year you can also buy this package for yourself.

Merry Christmas

As we wind down the first year of Chaotic Century, we want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. We're excited to have grown as much as we have this first year! We hope you enjoy the season and the time spent with family!

Christmas Coin Special

This coin special has been underway for a few days now. You receive 1 extra coins for every 10 purchased and get 5 bonus coins for every 25 purchased in the same transaction. Buying 200 coins at one time would get you 60 extra coins for example. This special will run till 10pm on New Years Day!

Christmas Quests and Gifts

We've added a few items for the holiday into the Novelty Shop. Make sure and gift them to your friend or enemy! There are a couple quests underway with Christmas upon us. There are Sana Clauses spread out through the game. There was one error that was broken, but all Santa's should be be reachable. The Rampaging Reindeer quest is underway and they have been vastly tweaked down to the player levels starting now. Also, don't forget to visit the Workshop and Tree and buy those presents for your friends. BTW, if your friends didn't quite get you the color or present you wanted there is a new package (see below) that will upgrade them all.

Christmas Package

A new Christmas Package has been added to the game store. Get them now before they vanish!

Item Market, Daily Login Bonus, Bind To Player Inserts, Recruitment, and Flyer Contest

Item Market

The item market is now open for all Chaotic Century consumers. You may list things like Weapon Upgrades, Suits, Items, and Inserts. Don't just discard your equipment. Pass it on to another player and recover some of the cost. A 10% fee is deducted from every item sold in the market before funds go to the seller.

Daily Login Bonus

You now get bonus energy sent to your Energy Reserve just for logging in each day. Put that energy to good use! VIP members receive 40 bonus and regular members receive 20.

Bind To Player Inserts

Inserts now bind to the player that equips them. You can sell any insert in the market as long as it hasn't been equipped yet. Once it is bound it can no longer be sold.

Recruitment

We've added some new ways for you to recruit players. You can now download a bannerkit with several banners you can use to post the game on your sites or sites you have permission to post on. We also created a PDF flyer you can print out and hang. Do you frequent places where other gamers hang out? Most likely you do, so why not see about hanging one of our flyers up. This PDF allows you to type in your ID for recruitment before printing. See below for the new contest!

Flyer Contest

Through December 15th we are holding a contest to see who can post their flyer in the coolest place. All you need to do is take a picture and post it to THIS forum thread. It will be stickied under the feedback section. The top 3 will be chosen by me and will be awarded 45, 20, and 5 Century Coins in order chosen. So post those flyer and take a snapshot. I'll be judging on creativity  display, and likelihood of success. You do not need to be pictured in this photo! Just the flyer and where it is is fine.
